Truth for when you have no idea what God is doing

Biblical truth for when you have no idea what God is doing

Ever feel like life’s uncertainties are just so overwhelming?

Life is full of uncertainties. I’ve struggled to trust God through breakups, job transitions, and loss of loved ones.

These few truths have encouraged and reminded me to trust God, even though I don’t understand the situation:

✨ Not having all the answers is normal

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”

Romans 1:17

God calls us to live by faith, not by knowing everything in advance. He often does not reveal His plan until it happens.

✨He doesn’t expect you to figure it out

“The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.”

Deuteronomy 29:29

God has intentionally hidden aspects of His will. But He has revealed some of it through Scripture. We are accountable for obeying what He has revealed, not what He hasn’t.

We can count on God's character when we can't understand His ways

✨We can count on God’s character

“Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations”

Deuteronomy 7:9

While God’s ways are far above our understanding, His character is knowable.

We can fully rely on His goodness and faithfulness even when we don’t know what He’s doing in our lives.

✨God will work it out for good

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”

Romans 8:28

When we can’t see what God is doing behind the scenes, we can trust that God is guiding and weaving together our story, even when it feels like a detour.

God is still in full control, even when life feels out of control. He’s still with us, still guiding, and still working. We can count on His goodness even when we don’t understand His ways.
