5 things God may be teaching you in the middle of feeling stuck...

Stuck in a waiting season?

I used to think feeling “stuck” meant I was doing something wrong or falling behind in life somehow. I thought if I trusted God enough, everything would move forward quickly and clearly.

Your identity is not found in constant progress

But some of the deepest spiritual growth in my life happened in seasons that looked completely unremarkable from the outside. Seasons where prayers felt unanswered, doors stayed closed, and I had no idea what God was doing.

Looking back, I can see that God was gently teaching me things I desperately needed to learn:
🤍 My worth was not tied to productivity
🤍 I didn’t need to have my whole future figured out
🤍 Quiet obedience still mattered
🤍 His presence was more important than outward success

If you feel stuck right now, maybe this season is not empty after all. Maybe God is still writing something beautiful in the middle of it.

1. Your identity is not found in constant progress.

Sometimes we tie our worth to how productive, successful, or “ahead” we feel. But God is reminding you that you are loved because you are His—not because your life looks impressive right now.

2. You do not have to have the whole plan figured out.

Feeling stuck often exposes how much we want certainty and control. But God rarely gives us the full picture all at once. He teaches us to trust Him for the next step instead of demanding the entire roadmap.

3. Small acts of obedience still matter deeply.

In seasons that feel hidden or repetitive, it’s easy to believe your life lacks purpose. But God sees every unseen act of faithfulness—every prayer, every quiet sacrifice, every moment of choosing obedience when no one notices.

4. God may be loosening your grip on worldly definitions of success.

The world celebrates fast results, visibility, and achievement. But sometimes God allows slower seasons to reshape what we value most so our hearts become more anchored in Him than in recognition or accomplishment.

5. Feeling stuck does not mean God has abandoned your story.

Some chapters feel quiet, confusing, or unfinished. But God often does meaningful work in the middle parts of the story—the places where we cannot yet see how everything will come together.

What might God be teaching you in this season?
