More than we can ask or think.
It’s true. 🌸 God doesn’t always answer our prayers the way we think or hope He will.
But God always gives us something better. Scripture reminds us that “our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think.” He can do far more than we can even ask! Sometimes we limit God and put Him in a box. We think He will answer our prayers a specific way. When He doesn’t do it that way…we are disappointed.
While the answer to our prayer may come in a different package than we expected, our good God is working it together for our good. We don’t have to worry about getting our way. Whatever God allows in our lives will, in the end, be beautiful. It will be His perfect provision, despite how it feels like a lack. It will be His perfect love, despite how it seems like He is absent or doesn’t care. It will be His perfect plan for our good and His glory.
I thank God for every breakup that led to meeting my husband. I thank Him that He didn’t let me settle for the job I thought I wanted when He had so much more for me to experience.
Our little prayers in the hand of our big God will always lead to something more beautiful than we can imagine. When we surrender our prayers, cares, and desires to Him, we can trust God to work it out and do something even more beautiful in His timing.
