Reminder when you compare your story

Are you tired of questioning God’s timeline for your life?

When things don’t happen as quickly as we hoped, it’s easy to assume we’ve somehow gotten off track. Friends get the jobs, relationships, and opportunities we’ve been praying for… while we’re still waiting.

And we start to wonder:

  • Has God forgotten about me?
  • Did I do something wrong?
  • Have I missed my purpose?
  • Why doesn’t my life look like hers?

I’ve been there.

In several seasons of life, I’ve compared my timeline to someone else’s and quietly asked:

  • Why haven’t I gotten the job yet?
  • Why haven’t I met my husband?
  • Why hasn’t the book deal happened?
Are you tired of questioning God’s timeline for your life?

But when your story doesn’t look like anyone else’s, it doesn’t mean you’re behind. It doesn’t mean you’re forgotten. It doesn’t mean you’re less-than.

It means God is writing an original story with your life — one that was never meant to mirror someone else’s.

Job, of all people, could have questioned what God was doing when he lost nearly everything. Yet he declared in faith:

“For He will complete what He appoints for me, and many such things are in His mind” (Job 23:14).

Are you tired of questioning God’s timeline for your life?

God will complete what He has purposed for you — even if it feels slow. Even if it feels confusing. Even if it looks nothing like the timelines around you.

He has placed holy desires in your heart — for marriage, meaningful work, ministry, impact. Delay of an opportunity does not mean denial of His plan.

Your waiting isn’t wasted. Even this season has purpose.

You can trust God’s timing not because your life looks like anyone else’s… but because you trust the Author who is faithfully writing your story, one day at a time.
